Quite some time from my last post! Well since I've had less than half of the time to make the Halloween Pack than my other packs I've working as much as I can on it! So I'm here to give you an update! I'll start with the release date! Well I was thinking about this and although I'm not 100% finished with the pack, I think I'll finish just in time! So to make the Halloween Pack feel more Halloween-ish if you download it, it will be released this week on Friday the 13th! I thought it was perfect and came right up to me. So I do PLAN to release then, if anything changes I will post about it. If I release it then, that means you will have 19 days to get ready for Halloween! So it will be released in only a couple of days! I hope you spread the word about it! I thought the Summer Life pack would have been more popular than the Easter Pack but it wasn't, and I really want this to be known. So thank you to anyone who notices it!
Since the pack is a mini-pack I originally planned it to have half the objects for half the time which means 20, but I managed to get it going, so the pack will be released with over 30 new objects. There will be new outfits for some age groups / genders, not all though. I still need to make some clothes. There of course will be new walls, and floors. So you'll get quite some custom content with many recolors of course also! Here are 2 new screenshots plus a small preview on what the Halloween Pack site will look like:
NEW! INSTALLER - Since April of 2006, people have always been needing to manually install the pack themselves, and download and extract zip files just to install it into there game. It got to be annoying after a while. So with brand new automatic installers, you just double click on the .exe file and you'll clearly see what you are installing! Just choose where The Sims 2 folder is in your Documents and just let it go! It's so much easier and fun to look at! I've made 2 for the Easter Pack and Summer Life Pack which will be released soon after the Halloween Pack. You can see some pictures of them below. Also you can uninstall of of the stuff if you don't want it with one click.
Halloween Pack Trailer - I've posted the Halloween Pack Trailer is several places like Google, Youtube, Myspace, Yahoo, and etc. So if just search For Sims Halloween Pack you can find them at those sites. Or now you can view them here. It comes in a Windows Media Player file (.wmv), QuickTime file (.mov), and for Simfantastic 2 Media Center (flash).
